League broadcasting / Replay workflow

Save the moment.
Tell the race story.

A replay is most useful when viewers understand what happened and where the race is now. Prepare your cameras and checkpoints before the green flag.

Step 1

Check your camera and graphic controls.

Join the session as a spectator and confirm that the full field and on-camera driver are visible in the Casting Center. Select a few cars and camera angles to check the controls.

Test the timing board, driver banner, race flag, and graphic fades in your OBS or Streamlabs scene.

Step 2

Save a checkpoint when a moment happens.

Save a replay checkpoint when you see an incident or another moment worth revisiting. Make a short note about the car, lap, and reason for the replay so you can return to it during a quieter part of the race.

Automatic incident detection is still being refined. Use your own observations, manual selection, and saved checkpoints to keep coverage dependable.

Step 3

Choose the car and camera before the replay.

Use the saved checkpoint and select a view that shows the event clearly. Check the approach to the moment as well as the contact or overtake itself.

Avoid guessing who caused an incident from one angle. The caster information can help identify the drivers involved, while the footage gives the context.

Step 4

Call the replay and use slow motion when useful.

Introduce what viewers are about to see, switch with your replay transition, and use slow motion where it helps explain the moment. Keep the sequence focused on what happened.

The caster controls stay at your desk. Your audience sees the race picture and the viewer graphics you choose to put on air.

Step 5

Return to live and reset the context.

Use the live control and your transition to return to current coverage. Confirm the on-camera driver, running order, and race status before making the next call.

Keep your checkpoint if you may need another angle later. During the next safe moment, confirm that timing and graphics reflect the live session.
